What is the game's point system?
Users are awarded 3 points for predicting the correct result and 1 point for the correct outcome of a match. At the end of the month, the user with the most points wins. |
I can't log in!
You must enable cookie support for your browser. In Internet Explorer, go to Tools -> Internet Options. Choose the "Privacy" tab. Click on the "Edit" button to override cookie handling. Type in "http://golaco.net" and click on "Allow".
How are ranks calculated?
Ranks are determined by the percent of points each user has earned based on his total number of bets.
The most accurate predictor is considered "top expert". All other users are classified according to a bell curve:
-10% "guru"
10-20% "enlightened"
20-50% "knowledgeable"
50-80% "informed"
80-90% "uninformed"
90%- "delusional"
Can I use multiple accounts?
Actively using two accounts at the same time is not allowed. We strongly discourage users from signing up for multiple accounts.
Do the top predictors win anything?
The predictor with the most points at the end of each month will receive a small prize courtesy of ExpertFootball.com. You'll be contacted via e-mail if you had won.
Due to lack of participation, there are no more prizes being handed out. The Golaco game is played for fun only!
How come I don't have a rank?
You need to have at least 10 completed predictions before you receive a rank.
